You dont get your study permit on your own. That is usually arranged for you by the admissions office of the educational institution where you have been accepted to study. After you have studied and received a degree, you will be almost automatically give a work visa, soon to be exchanged for a Permanent Residence visa which in turn can be turned into a citizenship aftet a few years.
