Can I apply for a Canadian study permit when a spousal sponsorship?
Why? Spousal permanent residency applications will almost certainly be processed before any study permit baring maybe an American who could apply at the border. Typically spousal applications take six months or so, but after initial background checks (typically a month or so) you would receive a temporary residency and work permit to enter Canada while the rest of the processing continues. Further, within the six months or so, you would have your permanent residency and could would apply as a domestic student typically being a quarter of the cost and not limited in the number of seats available. I dont see why anyone would do so. Most likely it will trigger Citizenship and Immigration Canada to be confused and probably take a really good second look at your spouses PR application.
